Turkish Towels for Family Travel: What to Pack and Check

A Turkish towel can be useful on a family trip for drying off, sitting at a picnic or as an adult wrap. Check the actual product’s dimensions and composition rather than assuming every towel has the same size or performance.

Choose for the activities you have planned

For a beach or pool visit, compare the size with the person using it. For a picnic, place the towel on a clean, dry surface; it is not a waterproof groundsheet. An adult may use a suitably sized towel as a shoulder wrap.

Check your packing space and care plan

Compare the folded size and stated weight where available. Read the washing and drying instructions before travelling, and allow used towels to dry before storing them. Do not assume a particular drying time or fibre content without product details.

Keep infant care separate
